Are you a youth worker, youth leader, mentor, or coach who believes in the learning potential of youth work — and wants to better support young people in recognising, reflecting on, and expressing what they learn? Learning Out Loud is an Erasmus+ Training Course organised by SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Centre and the Lithuanian National Agency, designed to develop youth workers' competences in facilitating and recognising learning in youth work settings. Based on the Youthpass concept, the course combines a residential activity in Lithuania with pre- and post-course online sessions and individual micro-activities — offering a full learning journey rather than a single event. Accommodation and food covered by the Lithuanian NA. Travel reimbursement available through your National Agency or SALTO. Deadline: 19 April 2026.
🇱🇹 Did You Know? Lithuania has one of the most active National Agencies for Erasmus+ Youth in Europe — regularly organising and co-hosting international training courses, seminars, and study visits for youth workers across the continent. The country's youth sector has grown rapidly since EU accession in 2004 and is now deeply integrated into European non-formal education networks. The Lithuanian landscape — with its forests, lakes, and Baltic coastal scenery — also makes it one of the most atmospheric locations in Europe for a residential training course.

🛠️Practice concrete tools that support young people's learning process in youth work activities — taking these tools back into your own work context
📝Learn practical approaches to formulating and documenting learning outcomes — so that young people's learning becomes visible to themselves and to others
🎓Deepen your understanding of the Youthpass concept as a process for supporting reflective learning in youth projects — not just a certificate, but a pedagogical tool
💻Participate in pre-course and post-course online group meetings — extending the learning beyond the residential days and embedding it in your ongoing practice
💡 Did You Know? Youthpass is an official European Commission tool that allows participants in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects to document and describe their learning outcomes and competence development. Originally introduced in 2007, it is now used by hundreds of thousands of young people and youth workers across Europe each year — and is increasingly recognised by employers, universities, and institutions as evidence of non-formal learning. This training course is specifically designed to help youth workers use Youthpass not just as a document, but as a genuine learning facilitation process.
Programme Structure
💻Pre-course online group meeting: 13 May 2026, 10:00–11:30 CET — introduction and preparation before the residential phase
📋Individual preparatory activities before the residential course — personalised tasks to help you arrive ready to engage deeply
🏡Residential activity: 3–5 June 2026 in Lithuania — the core learning experience, fully facilitated and residential
🔄Individual micro follow-up activities after the residential course — applying what you've learned back in your own youth work practice
💻Post-course online group meeting: 23 June 2026, 10:00–11:30 CET — reflection, sharing, and consolidation of learning across the full group
Who Can Apply?
🤝You are a youth worker, youth leader, mentor, coach, or other practitioner who works regularly with young people — individually or in group settings, locally or internationally
💡You believe in the learning potential of youth work and want to strengthen the quality of your practice around learning facilitation and recognition
🌍You are interested in supporting young people in recognising, reflecting on, and expressing the value of their learning experiences
🗣️You are at least 18 years old and able to actively communicate and work in English throughout the course
✅You are able and willing to engage in all phases of the project — pre-course, residential, and post-course — full participation is expected and required
♿The activity and venue are fully accessible to people with disabilities
Costs & Practical Information
💰Participation fee varies by country — financed by participating National Agencies. Contact your own National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre to find out the fee applicable for participants from your country
🏠Accommodation and food during the event covered by the Lithuanian National Agency — no additional costs for board and lodging during the residential phase

🎓Youthpass certificate issued upon completion — official recognition of competence development during the activity
