๐ European Solidarity Corps Humanitarian Aid Volunteering Opportunity
This ESC humanitarian volunteering project takes place in Quito, Ecuador, focusing on biodiversity monitoring, environmental education and community engagement.
Volunteers will collaborate with the local organization Fundaciรณn VASE, supporting community initiatives that promote environmental protection, sustainable practices and biodiversity awareness.
The project combines field activities in nature with educational and community-based initiatives.

๐ฑ Participating in daily biodiversity walks documenting local flora and fauna
๐ท Recording biodiversity through photography, video and audio documentation
๐ Organizing and uploading biodiversity data to shared digital databases
๐ Using digital tools for preliminary species identification
๐ฑ Creating social media content about biodiversity, culture and community activities
๐ฅ Participating in dialogue circles with community members and volunteers
๐ Supporting workshops for community organization and environmental awareness
๐ซ Assisting with environmental education activities for children and youth in schools
Volunteers will work closely with community members and local youth to promote environmental awareness and sustainable development.

Volunteers will stay in a house reserved for volunteers.

Volunteers can buy groceries locally and cook their own meals.
๐ถ Transportation to project activities may include walking, local buses or community vehicles.

Volunteers receive structured preparation and mentoring throughout the project.

Applicants should:
๐ Be 18โ35 years old
๐ Live in an EU Member State or an associated partner country
๐ฑ Be interested in environmental conservation and biodiversity
๐ค Be open to community work and intercultural exchange
๐ท Have interest or experience in photography, video or social media communication
Knowledge or interest in fields such as ecology, biology, botany or agroecology is highly valued.
