🌍 European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Teams Opportunity
The RISE Project is an ESC Volunteering Teams activity taking place in Crotone, Italy, focused on social inclusion, community engagement and sustainable local initiatives.
Hosted by a local social cooperative, the project aims to support the social, cultural and economic development of the local area through various educational and community activities.
The cooperative works with young people, migrants and vulnerable groups while promoting innovative learning initiatives, social support activities and sustainable local development.
During the project, volunteers will contribute to community life while gaining hands-on experience in teamwork, social projects and intercultural collaboration.
🌱 Volunteer Activities
🏨 Supporting the management of the hostel run by the organisation
🛠 Participating in renovation activities and maintenance of open spaces
🌾 Taking part in farm activities and learning about local agriculture
🍳 Cooking with local products and sharing meals with the team
🤝 Supporting activities with migrants and vulnerable groups
🍞 Assisting organisations that provide food for people in need
📰 Collaborating with a local newspaper and creating social media content
🎨 Participating in comics workshops and creative activities
💃 Joining local dance classes and cultural exchange activities
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to propose their own workshops related to their interests and skills.

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Financial Support
🏨 Accommodation provided in the hostel managed by the organisation
🛏 Shared double or triple rooms with private bathroom
🍳 Meals prepared collectively by volunteers and staff during activities
💶 Pocket Money
17 € per day
Travel expenses are included in this amount.
Participants must keep all tickets and boarding passes for reimbursement procedures.
📚 Training and Support
The project includes several learning and evaluation moments.
📅 On-arrival training during the first 3 days organised by Associazione Joint
📊 Mid-term evaluation through reflection forms
📜 Final evaluation and Youthpass Certificate during the last two days
👤 Participant Profile
The project is looking for volunteers who:
🎂 Are aged 18–30 years old
🌍 Are citizens or residents of EU countries
📅 Are available for the entire project period
🎥 Have experience in video-making or youth work, or
📉 Have been unemployed for more than one year / come from rural areas / face economic disadvantages
Volunteers should also:
🌱 Enjoy outdoor activities
🤝 Be comfortable working in groups and interacting with the public
🛠 Be ready for manual and practical work
🎨 Be creative, curious and open-minded
📱 Have basic knowledge of video editing or content creation (preferred)
