🌍 About the Study Visit
Study Visit on Local Youth Work – Lithuania 2026 is an Erasmus+ Study Visit in Vilnius, Lithuania, designed for youth workers, youth policy actors and municipal representatives interested in learning more about local youth work systems and practices in Lithuania.
The study visit will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the Lithuanian youth work system, policies and structures, while offering practical insights through meetings with practitioners and visits to youth centres.
Participants will explore how municipalities develop and implement youth work at the local level, and how different approaches such as open youth work, street youth work and mobile youth work function in practice.
The programme will also introduce opportunities for future cooperation through Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.
🎯 Objectives
📚 Introduce participants to the structure and policy framework of youth work in Lithuania
🤝 Share good practices in open, street and mobile youth work
🏛 Strengthen understanding of the role of municipalities in youth policy and youth work implementation
🏘 Provide practical insight through visits to youth centres in rural and urban areas
🌍 Encourage networking and exchange between participants from different countries

The study visit will use non-formal education approaches, including:

🤝 Meetings with youth workers and municipal representatives
🧠 Group discussions and reflection sessions
Participants will learn directly from practitioners working in different youth work settings across Lithuania.
