๐ About the Volunteering Project
This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project in Rovigo, Italy focuses on social inclusion through sport, community engagement and youth activities connected to a local baseball and softball club.
The project promotes inclusive sports participation, youth development and community engagement, particularly supporting initiatives that involve children and people with visual impairments.
Volunteers will contribute to sports-based inclusion initiatives, summer activities for children and communication projects that highlight the role of sport in social integration.
Through this experience, participants will gain hands-on experience in community sport projects, event organization, youth engagement and storytelling through media.

๐จ Support entertainment and recreational activities for children during the summer centre programme (JuneโAugust)
โฝ Assist with sports and outdoor group activities
โพ Blind Baseball Project
๐ Support activities related to baseball for blind and visually impaired athletes
๐ Assist with the organization of matches, championships and sports events
๐ค Participate in events promoting sports for people with disabilities
๐ฑ Communication & Storytelling
๐ฅ Create short videos presenting the clubโs activities
๐ Produce podcasts sharing volunteer experiences and athlete stories
โ๏ธ Write articles and content for blogs and social media
๐ Produce communication materials in different languages
๐งโ๐คโ๐ง Participant Profile
๐ Open to volunteers from diverse backgrounds
๐ค Strong motivation and interest in sport, inclusion and community work
๐งโ๐ฆฏ Interest in inclusive sport initiatives involving people with disabilities
๐ฎ๐น Basic knowledge of Italian language can be helpful but is not mandatory
๐ก Volunteers selected mainly based on motivation and willingness to actively participate
๐ Accommodation, Food & Allowance
๐ก Volunteers will live in shared housing managed by the association or with young Italians
๐ Preferably single rooms within shared accommodation
๐ฐ Volunteers receive monthly pocket money and food allowance
๐ Living with locals helps promote language learning and cultural exchange
