About the Role
This is a P-3 mid-level international professional position within the Strategic Leadership Communications Unit, Office of the Executive Director (OED) in New York. It is a fixed-term appointment for one year, with the possibility of extension. In the UN system, P-3 is a mid-level grade, generally requiring an advanced degree and around five years of experience.
What You'll Do
🖋️ Produce high-quality written, editorial and digital content that strengthens the Executive Director's voice
🎯 Manage the executive communications strategy
📜 Write speeches, op-eds and thought-leadership pieces
📱 Manage the social media presence, campaign narratives and mission-related content
Who Can Apply
🎓 An advanced (Master's) university degree in communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, marketing, international relations, political or social sciences or a related field
💼 At least 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in communications or executive/strategic communications, with proven expertise in speeches, op-eds, thought leadership and social media management
🗣️ Fluency in English is required

Contract and Salary
