๐ท Activity Details
Description
10โ11 months | Starting asap
We are looking for a creative and motivated volunteer interested in youth work, scouting, international projects and communication.
You will work closely with our programme manager, helping to develop educational activities, write programme descriptions, support youth leaders and organise camps, events and other.
You will also help create photo, video and social media content about the scout centre, activities and projects, from filming and editing short videos to preparing posts and sharing stories from everyday life.
Other tasks - preparing and organising educational equipment, managing activity materials and helping in our scout shop. You will also learn to use embroidery and T-shirt printing equipment and have the chance to create and produce your own designs.
No previous experience is required. We are looking for someone who likes turning ideas into action, working with people, being creative and learning new skills along the way.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will share a cosy living space in part of a house located close to the city centre, with a large yard outside to relax, spend time together or enjoy some fresh air. Bedrooms are shared with volunteers of the same sex, so it is important to be comfortable with communal living. A car will be available for commuting to the scout centre and activities. Each month, volunteers will also receive food money and pocket money directly into their bank account, giving them flexibility to manage their everyday expenses.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will take part in the On-Arrival and Mid-Term Trainings organised by the National Agency. Throughout the project, they will also receive practical training and guidance for their everyday tasks, so previous experience is not required. They will learn how to plan and implement international youth projects and will take part in youth leader training to prepare for summer camps, where they will gradually take more responsibility and work directly with children and young people.
Participant profile
We are looking for a creative, responsible and motivated young person interested in youth work, education, international projects and communication. The volunteer should enjoy working with people, organising activities and turning ideas into practical results. Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn are important. Previous experience is not required, but interest in scouting, non-formal education, events, social media, photography, video or design would be a strong advantage.
