El Hachazo is a leisure bar and activity centre in Madrid built around axe throwing, archery, darts, board games and events — and the team is developing its board-game side further. It's a lively, social, hands-on environment rather than a desk-only internship, and this role puts you right in the middle of the guest experience. Your role
As the Animation and Marketing intern, you'll play an active part in running the Axe Throwing Centre and its wider activities. Day to day, that means:
- Customer support.
- Reception — checking guests in and out.
- Merchandising and selling drinks and souvenirs.
- Entertainment and animation for guests.
- Maintaining and tidying the premises so it's always ready to welcome customers.
- Storage management.
And, if you'd like to take it further:
- Coming up with new ideas to improve the products.
- Creating videos and photos for social media.
Who fits this role
El Hachazo is looking for someone curious, very sociable and creative. On languages, the rule is clear: if you don't have a good level of Spanish, you must have a good level of English. The role suits students and graduates across study levels (EQF 5–8), and everyday content and office tools (Canva, CapCut basics, Instagram/TikTok, Excel/Google Sheets) are useful for the social-media side.
The practical details
This is an unpaid Erasmus+ traineeship (during studies), full-time at 30 hours per week, lasting 3 months, with partial remote work possible and an expected start date of 15 October 2026.
One eligibility point to check first
El Hachazo can currently only host candidates who do not require an additional work visa — in practice, EU/EEA residents (EU citizens or those with existing residency). If that's you, this is a great, sociable role to gain customer-facing and marketing experience in Madrid.
