TheViPgroup, a Poland-based tech company driving digital transformation through AI, CleanTech and SaaS solutions, is looking for a highly analytical Data Science & NLP Research Intern in Krakow. Over a minimum of 6 months, full-time, you will extract high-value insights from unstructured text data, sitting at the intersection of experimental data science and traditional Natural Language Processing. About the Role
This role sits at the critical intersection of experimental data science and traditional NLP. You will be tasked with data preparation, pattern analysis and developing custom machine learning pipelines that drive strategic business decisions, working in a high-performance environment where analytics feed directly into how the company operates.
Your Core Responsibilities
๐งน Data preprocessing and cleaning: architect robust pipelines to clean, tokenize, normalize and label unstructured text datasets for model training.
๐ง NLP model development: implement and evaluate core NLP models for high-stakes tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), sentiment analysis and text classification.
๐ Exploratory data analysis (EDA): uncover hidden patterns and trends in textual data to support and guide strategic business decisions.
๐ Literature research: investigate academic literature and state-of-the-art NLP techniques to propose creative, scalable solutions for complex business problems.
๐งช Collaborative experimentation: assist in running A/B tests to validate model accuracy and performance against real-world data.

Who You Are
๐ A Bachelor (EQF 6) or Master (EQF 7) level student, working in English.
๐ Strong proficiency in Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
๐ค Familiarity with NLP frameworks (NLTK, Spacy, or BERT-based Transformers).
๐ A solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining and evaluation metrics (F1-score, Precision, Recall).
Eligibility and Visa Support
The company can host international candidates and will provide the necessary documentation (a signed Learning Agreement and invitation letter). You can apply through one of two tracks:
