AGIFODENT Association is offering an Erasmus+ traineeship as a Craftmen / Craftwoman Art Assistant in a small artisan workshop in Granada, Spain, where you learn the traditional Nazari plasterwork techniques behind some of Spain's most famous monuments. This is a 9-month, part-time (25 hours per week) placement. The application deadline is 30 August 2026.
About AGIFODENT
AGIFODENT is a non-profit organisation based in Granada, founded in 2002, that educates on European programmes. Its main goal is managing Erasmus+ KA1 traineeships for European students within the CECE regional network's educational centres.
The Workshop and the Art of Trencadís
The placement takes place in a small workshop in Granada capital, and from September 2026 also in the Granada City Centre. The team picks up the legacy left by the master artisan craftsmen who have enriched Spanish heritage throughout the ages with their monumental collections. As an intern you learn the techniques and artistic style practised during the Nazari period and beyond, discovering the original techniques of plasterwork art through the reproduction of pieces, following models of the Alhambra and other famous monuments of the Hispano-Muslim period. It is a workshop where you learn artistic techniques alongside other international students, and its clients include the Alhambra shops and some of the most important monuments in Spain.
What You'll Learn
🎨 Traditional Nazari plasterwork art and the artistic style of the Hispano-Muslim period.
🕌 Original techniques through the reproduction of pieces modelled on the Alhambra and other famous monuments.
🧱 Applying protective, decorative or filling materials and coatings, and operating the machinery used to manufacture the pieces.
🤝 Working in an international team, developing entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking.

Who Can Apply
The placement suits students at Bachelor (EQF 6) level with a working level of English, an interest in fine arts, handicrafts, history, archaeology, architecture or tourism, and a hands-on, creative mindset. A feel for teamwork and for working with materials is a real plus.
