If you're considering a placement abroad in Catalonia and dreaming of a teaching career, Institut Torre Vicens in Lleida is offering an Italian and/or English Language Assistant position for your Erasmus+ traineeship โ no previous teaching experience required.
About the School
A school strongly committed to foreign language education, actively participating in European programmes, including initiatives promoted by the Department of Education of Catalonia.
Your Role
You'll work as an Italian and/or English Language Assistant at Secondary and/or Vocational Education levels, with students aged roughly 12 to 20, and may also support language activities with teachers. You'll assist in teaching Italian or English to students and teachers with a low or beginner level, and may help prepare future Erasmus+ students for their internships abroad, especially in Italy. As you'll be assisting the lead teacher, no previous teaching experience is required.
What You'll Do
๐ฃ๏ธ Lead language activities such as speaking and listening practice, role-plays and other oral communication tasks at Secondary level
๐จ Contribute to cross-curricular projects with subjects like Science, Arts or Maths
๐ Take part in CLIL-based projects, Erasmus+ activities and school outings

Requirements
๐ฃ๏ธ Excellent command of Italian and/or English โ C1 level or native speaker level (CEFR)
โค๏ธ A strong interest in languages and teaching
โจ Enthusiastic, dynamic and responsible, able to motivate students in their learning
๐ No previous teaching experience required

The Details
๐ Location: Lleida (Catalonia), Spain
๐๏ธ Period: Within the school year, September 2026 to May 2027
โณ Duration: 10 weeks to 6 months
๐ Commitment: 3โ4 days per week โ around 13โ15 hours directly with students, plus lesson prep and mentor meetings, with 1โ2 days off
๐ถ Compensation: Unpaid โ students should apply for an Erasmus+ grant through their home university
โ Depending on demand, there may be the possibility of paid Italian or English afternoon classes, outside the scheduled placement hours
