Join a high-impact ESC volunteering experience on the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye, where you will actively contribute to the protection of endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles. This project takes place during the critical nesting and hatching season, offering volunteers a unique opportunity to work directly in nature conservation, protect biodiversity, and raise awareness among local communities while living near one of the most important turtle nesting beaches in the region.
🌍 Did You Know? Caretta Caretta sea turtles return to the same beaches where they were born to lay their eggs, often traveling thousands of kilometers across oceans.
Objectives
🐢 Protect endangered sea turtle populations during nesting season
🌱 Promote environmental awareness and coastal conservation
🤝 Engage local communities through educational campaigns
🌍 Support biodiversity protection and sustainable ecosystems
Tasks & Activities
🌊 Monitor beaches and observe nesting activity
🏖️ Mark and protect turtle nests
🧹 Clean beaches and remove environmental threats
📢 Organise awareness campaigns and workshops for locals
🐢 Assist injured or disoriented turtles when needed
🌍 Did You Know? Only about 1 in 1,000 sea turtle hatchlings survive to adulthood, making conservation efforts like this essential for the species’ survival.
Accommodation, Food & Financial Support
🏠 Accommodation in a modern shared villa (2 volunteers per room)
🌐 Fully equipped apartments with Wi-Fi and facilities
💰 Pocket money and food allowance provided

Participant Profile

🌅 Ready for early morning work (around 4:00 AM)
