🌟 Defend Democracy & Shape the Future! 🇭🇺 Europe is currently facing the rise of radicalism and populism. Many young people feel disconnected from “rotten politics” or choose to leave for more established democracies. This project offers an alternative: democratically conscious civil involvement based on mutual respect, shared responsibility, and active European citizenship. ✨

🚀 What is the Aim of the Project?

🎯 The main goal is to increase youth involvement in politics across Europe, with a special focus on Eastern Europe. By exploring different political systems and cultures, participants will learn the importance of social responsibility. Whether you come from a country with a long democratic history or a transitioning system, this is a space to learn from one another and understand how to form your own society. 🌍

🛠️ What to Expect?

🎭 Simulations: Experiencing different political systems like democracies, dictatorships, and anarchy.

🎨 Community Art: Using painting, music, and theatre to create a fictional culture and “tribes.”

🗣️ Debate Forums: Discussing universal political issues and interactive tasks in various formats.

🇪🇺 Shared Responsibility: Understanding our role as European citizens in modern society.

🏘️ Venue & Accommodation

🛌 Historic Vác: The training takes place in Vác, a beautiful historic city by the Danube river, just 30 minutes from Budapest. 🏡

🏨 Althann Vendégház: Participants will stay in 2-3 bed rooms in this hotel near the riverbank and city centre. Free Wi-Fi is available. 🍝 Food: 3 meals a day and coffee breaks are provided at the venue.

💰 Full Coverage: Accommodation and food are completely covered by the Erasmus+ programme.

The easiest way is by train from Budapest Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). You can check schedules at jegy.mav.hu and find the public transport guide at bkk.hu. 📜💡

💡 Did You Know? Vác is famous for its unique “Mummies of Vác” discovered in a forgotten crypt, and it hosts Hungary’s only Triumphal Arch! 🏛️🏺
