It is best known internationally as the home of Kopparbergs Brewery, one of Scandinavia’s most recognised cider producers. The Erasmus+ KA1 Playbook โ the central resource used in this training โ was developed by Awesome People through more than 10 years of hands-on experience coordinating Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses. It was created as part of a KA2 Small-Scale Partnership with Projekta Malta, and this training is one of the first opportunities for youth workers from across Europe to test and work with the guide directly. Participants leave with a personal copy โ full of templates, checklists, and practical examples.

๐ฃParticipants who are committed to organising a dissemination event in their local community within one month of returning โ sharing the knowledge and tools with other youth workers is a mandatory part of the participation commitment
๐You are at least 18 years old โ each partner organisation can send a maximum of 3 people, and gender balance among participants is expected
๐ปBring your laptop if possible โ digital tools will be used during coordination strategy sessions and having your own device will enhance your experience significantly
Accommodation & Venue
๐ Awesome People House, Laxbrogatan 24, Kopparberg โ just 5 minutes’ walk from the village centre. Shared bedrooms (3โ4 people, mixed nationality, not gender-separated), shared bathrooms with showers. Bed linen provided โ bring your own towel. WiFi available throughout
๐ฝ๏ธBreakfast, lunch, dinner, and Swedish coffee breaks (FIKA) all served in the house โ fully covered by the Erasmus+ programme. All dietary requirements accommodated on request. An intercultural evening will be organised โ bring drinks and snacks from your country
๐ชKopparberg village centre has shops, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and an ATM โ all within 5 minutes’ walk. Sweden is largely cashless โ card payments accepted everywhere
๐ก๏ธWeather in Sweden in May is typically +10 to +16ยฐC โ pack layers. Updates will be shared closer to arrival via the WhatsApp group
Travel Information
โ๏ธBest route: fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, then take the train to Kopparberg C (3.5โ4.5 hours, approximately โฌ40โ50). Check timetables at sj.se โ search Arlanda C to Kopparberg C. The entrance to the train station is in Sky City at Arlanda airport
๐ฟGreen Travel is strongly encouraged โ using more than 50% of your journey by bus or train (not plane) qualifies you for a higher travel budget and two additional travel days. A great incentive to travel sustainably
๐Awesome People will meet you at Kopparberg Central Station and take you to the house โ send your arrival time to erasmus@awesomepeople.org by 11 May at the latest
โ ๏ธArrive no later than 7 pm on 13 May โ tickets for late arrivals will not be reimbursed. Departure is before 11:00 on 20 May. Do not purchase tickets without confirming with the coordinator first
๐ก๏ธValid travel and medical insurance (including European Health Insurance Card) is mandatory โ the host organisation does not cover personal health costs or additional travel costs
Costs & Travel Reimbursement
๐ฐNo participation fee โ the training is fully funded through the Erasmus+ programme
๐ Accommodation and food 100% covered by Erasmus+ for the full duration of the training
โ๏ธTravel costs reimbursed based on Erasmus+ distance bands โ calculated from your sending organisation’s city to Kopparberg using the official Erasmus+ Distance Calculator. Costs exceeding the maximum reimbursable amount will not be covered
๐Reimbursement is made by bank transfer after dissemination activities are completed โ within one month of the training, upon submission of original tickets, invoices, boarding passes, testimonial report, and dissemination report
๐Youthpass certificate issued upon completion โ official recognition of competence development during the activity
After the Training โ What’s Expected
๐ฃWithin one month of returning home, organise a dissemination event for local NGOs and youth workers โ sharing strategies and tools learned during the training week with your local community
โ๏ธWrite a personal testimonial report about your experience and a short report on your dissemination activities โ both required for travel reimbursement processing
๐คUpload all original travel documents to the project’s Google Drive or AI tool (link provided after selection), and complete the internal evaluation form at the end of the training week
