Begin an inspiring ESC journey in Zagreb, Croatia ๐ญ๐ท, where solidarity, youth empowerment and community rebuilding come together in the transformative project MOST SOLIDARNOSTI Vol. 5. Hosted by Humanitarna udruga fra Mladen Hrkaฤ, this long-term volunteering initiative (365 days) focuses on strengthening inclusion, supporting vulnerable groups, and contributing to the recovery of earthquake-affected regions in Central Croatia.
Volunteers become part of a meaningful mission aimed at improving quality of life for people facing health challenges, disabilities, social exclusion, economic barriers, or the long-term effects of the devastating 2020 earthquake. Through hands-on service, community engagement, and non-formal learning, participants gain valuable experience, new skills, and a deep understanding of solidarity in action.
โจ What You Will Do
- ๐ Support individuals in vulnerable situations
- ๐งโ๐ฆฝ Assist people with disabilities and those heavily affected by the 2020 earthquake
- ๐ Engage in inclusive community activities
- ๐ฅ Contribute to projects focused on youth with fewer opportunities
- ๐ Participate in non-formal and informal learning experiences
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Support activities in both Croatian and English
- ๐ป Learn and use new digital tools & concepts
- ๐ค Help strengthen community resilience and well-being
๐ Accommodation, Food & Transport
- ๐ก Volunteers stay in fully equipped studio-type accommodation (kitchen, bathroom, living/sleeping area)
- ๐ฝ๏ธ Breakfast & dinner ingredients provided; lunch is delivered
- ๐ Local transport reimbursement
- ๐ถ Pocket money included
- ๐ If volunteers arrange their own accommodation, reimbursement follows organisation rules
๐ Training & Support
- ๐ฑ Possible APV (Advanced Planning Visit) for volunteers with fewer opportunities
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Activities carried out in Croatian & English
- ๐ง Adaptations available for participants facing obstacles
- ๐ Project starts January 2026 and lasts 12 months
