This inspiring project brings together young volunteers from across Europe to support people with disabilities in a residential care center focused on inclusion, empathy, and empowerment. 🤝 Volunteer Tasks & Responsibilities
Volunteers will actively participate in the daily life of a residential center for people with disabilities, including:
- Supporting staff in daily care routines such as meals, reading, walking, and recreational time
- Organising creative workshops (arts, music, games, gardening, cooking, etc.)
- Contributing personal skills and ideas to design new inclusive activities
- Encouraging social interaction and emotional well-being among residents
- Promoting solidarity and equality through teamwork and shared experiences
Volunteers will work in shifts (morning or afternoon), five days a week, with flexibility for learning and participation in other community events.
🍽️ Accommodation, Food & Allowances
- 🏠 Accommodation in a fully furnished shared apartment (max. 5 volunteers) with bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living room.
- 🍲 Monthly food allowance and pocket money provided.
- 🚍 Local transport and project-related travel costs covered.
- All expenses are funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme.
🧠 Training & Mentorship
Volunteers will benefit from a full support system, including:
- Pre-departure preparation by the sending organisation
- On-arrival and mid-term trainings by the Italian National Agency
- Language support (online and in-person Italian lessons)
- Mentoring and personal development coaching
- Continuous guidance from Kara Bobowski’s professional staff
👥 Participant Profile
We are looking for 3 motivated volunteers aged 20–28 from EU countries who are:
- Open-minded and empathetic towards people with disabilities
- Eager to contribute to social inclusion and community life
- Flexible, patient, and responsible
- Willing to learn, collaborate, and share their skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team
No previous experience is required — just motivation, creativity, and a genuine desire to help others!
