The NL Scholarship (formerly the Holland Scholarship) supports outstanding non-EEA international students who wish to pursue their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at top Dutch universities.

Financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, along with leading research universities and universities of applied sciences, this scholarship helps global students begin their academic journey in one of Europe’s most innovative, inclusive, and forward-thinking countries. 🇳🇱

Scholarship Value 💰

  • €5,000 awarded in the first year of study
  • The scholarship is a one-time grant — not a full tuition waiver
  • It can be used to support tuition, accommodation, or living expenses

Eligibility Criteria 👥

  • You hold a nationality outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
  • You are applying for a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s program at a participating Dutch higher education institution
  • You meet the specific admission requirements of your chosen university
  • You do not already hold a degree from a Dutch educational institution
