About the Seminar

The “Trainers’ Wellbeing Retreat” is more than just a seminar — it’s a transformative experience designed to help trainers reconnect with their body, mind, and purpose. Hosted in the sunny coastal city of Kalamata, Greece 🇬🇷, this Erasmus+ Training Course is organised by the International Youth Work Trainers Guild (IYWT Guild) under its Erasmus+ accreditation approved by the German National Agency.

This retreat is born from the Holistic Trainer Project (learn more here), which revealed that many trainers face burnout, emotional exhaustion, and stress due to irregular work patterns and limited structural support.

Over seven inspiring days, participants will recharge through reflective sessions, wellbeing practices, and peer learning — building resilience and community while strengthening their professional identity as Holistic Trainers.

What to Expect 💡

  • 🌅 Day 1: Welcome, introductions & creating the retreat space
  • 💪 Day 2: Focus on physical wellbeing + practice sessions
  • 🧠 Day 3: Focus on mental wellbeing + supportive reflection
  • 🚐 Day 4: Life on the road – finding balance while traveling
  • 🌿 Day 5: Integrating holistic trainer identity & closing reflections

Each day combines body–mind exercises, sharing circles, and hands-on sessions, allowing participants to develop personal wellbeing routines, explore supportive systems, and build long-term peer connections.

Objectives 🎯

  • To introduce the Holistic Trainer approach – physical & mental wellbeing, and life on the road
  • To reflect, share tools, and co-create personal wellbeing strategies
  • To discuss community support structures for trainers
  • To strengthen professional identity and resilience
  • To provide space for coworking, networking, and rest
