🌟 About the Project

Are you passionate about youth empowerment, education, and social inclusion?
Join this inspiring ESC opportunity in Menfi, Sicily, where you’ll support young boys aged 14–18 who live in a housing community on their path to rehabilitation and personal growth.

As part of Istituto Walden, a dedicated social cooperative, you’ll live and work closely with the youngsters — sharing everyday life, creativity, and positive energy. This is a unique chance to combine volunteering, education, and social change in one meaningful experience!

You’ll:

🧒 Support the educational and emotional development of young residents
🎨 Create engaging workshops — cooking, theatre, music & arts
💬 Help with homework, language exchange, and intercultural learning
🎉 Organize small community events and celebrations
🍽️ Join the residents in daily activities — preparing meals, keeping the shared spaces warm and welcoming, and exploring the surroundings together

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowance

🏠 Volunteers will share a cozy flat in Menfi, with:
- Double bedrooms 🛏️
- A shared kitchen 🍳
- Two bathrooms 🚿
- A common dining area 🍽️
💶 You’ll receive 6 EUR/day pocket money + 100 EUR/month food allowance
🗓️ You’ll work 5 days per week, up to 35 hours, with 2 consecutive days off (not weekends)
🎁 Two extra free days each month

🎓 Training & Learning Support

🧭 On-Arrival Training with Associazione Joint and the Italian National Agency
🌍 Mid-Term Evaluation and Final Evaluation for personal reflection
💬 Italian language online course included
🎯 Specific training related to the project’s activities and community work

These sessions ensure that you’ll grow both professionally and personally, supported every step of the way!

👥 Who Can Apply?

We’re searching for a motivated and mature volunteer (23–30 years old) who is:

❤️ Ready to work with teenagers aged 13–18 from diverse backgrounds
🎓 Has background or interest in social work, psychology, or education
🤝 Cooperative, respectful, patient, and proactive
🌈 Open-minded and communicative
🏡 Ready to live in a small Sicilian town and adapt to community life
💬 Willing to learn or already knows basic Italian
