The European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML), part of the Council of Europe, is looking for motivated trainees to support its mission of promoting innovative language education across Europe. Located in Graz, Austria, this 6-month paid traineeship offers valuable experience in international language policy, project coordination, and administration.

🧭 What is the ECML?

The ECML supports Council of Europe member states in implementing effective language policies and advancing cutting-edge approaches to language teaching and learning. Trainees will join a multicultural team and contribute to real projects that impact educators, learners, and policymakers across Europe.

💼 Traineeship Specialisations (Choose One):

  1. 🌐 Website Specialisation – Support web content, updates, and digital outreach
  2. 📋 Programme and Logistics – Help with planning events and seminars
  3. 📚 Documentation – Assist with publications and knowledge management
  4. 🧾 Finances and Administration – Gain insight into financial processes and coordination

✅ Who Can Apply?

  • Citizens or residents of a Council of Europe member state
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Have good command of English or French (both are an asset)
