Youth Works Hub has gathered 25 fully funded ESC volunteering opportunities open in October 2026 across 12 countries: France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Tรผrkiye. Every call is a European Solidarity Corps placement for young people who want to volunteer abroad, in fields from early childhood education and social farming to refugee inclusion, sport and urban permaculture. Romania hosts six of the 25 calls, three of them in Panciu, and Spain and Tรผrkiye host three each. Our guide to what the European Solidarity Corps is explains how the programme works.
Each call has its own angle:
๐ธ๐ช Sweden: in Stockholm, Swedish-speaking volunteers build a sense of belonging with young people in corridors, the gym, the skatepark and the canteen.
๐ฒ๐ฆ Morocco: a 16-day team project in Tetouan and Martil supports local community initiatives, with daily reflection moments with a coach.
๐น๐ท Tรผrkiye: a team of 16 volunteers supports national taekwondo team training camps in Ankara.
๐ฎ๐น Italy: near Ponte Nizza, volunteers join a rural community where about 10 autistic adults live with families, educators and volunteers.
๐ช๐ธ Spain: two volunteers learn permaculture in the village of Caseres, splitting the week between garden, bioconstruction and food forest work and online tasks.
๐ฑ๐บ Luxembourg: a 30-week role supports social inclusion programmes for young refugees and migrants.
๐ซ๐ท France: in Metz, a European citizenship ambassador organises eloquence contests and language cafรฉs and creates videos and podcasts.
๐ฉ๐ช Germany: a social farm in Obing welcomes volunteers with no farming experience to care for calves and cows.
Taken together, the batch suits young people who want to volunteer abroad in education, social inclusion, sport or environmental work. Three calls, the social farm in Obing, the 16-day project in Morocco and the taekwondo camps in Ankara, are team volunteering projects, a format explained in our guide to ESC Volunteering Teams. Some calls ask for a specific language, such as Swedish in Stockholm, intermediate Italian near Ponte Nizza and French at B2 level in Luxembourg, and each call lists the countries it is open to, so check which countries can apply for Erasmus+ and ESC before you choose.
European Solidarity Corps volunteering is fully funded: travel, accommodation, food, pocket money and insurance are covered. According to Youth Works Hub's review, seven of the 25 calls are open as soon as possible, and the busiest date is 18 October 2026, when four calls close.

Take part in a community dedicated to sustainable living and holistic development in Palmela, Portugal through art, dance, meditation, gardening, vegan and vegetarian cooking and maintenance. The 13-week project is for motivated young people with basic English and organisational skills who are eager to live in a community, with priority for young people with fewer opportunities, and you will get an introduction to community living principles and a Portuguese language course. Who can apply for these ESC volunteering opportunities?
Twenty-four of the 25 calls are for young people aged 18-30, and the kindergarten in Karlsruhe asks for young people aged 18 or older. Each call is open to its own list of countries: the Stockholm role is open to residents of Sweden, the Recanati centre to residents of Spain, the Reศiศa project to applicants from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, and the calls in Morocco and Karlsruhe to applicants from 68 countries each. Which ESC deadline comes first?
Seven calls are open as soon as possible, and the first dated deadline is 13 October 2026 for the taekwondo camps in Ankara. The project in Sorgun follows on 15 October and the farming community near Ponte Nizza on 16 October, while the holistic community in Palmela stays open until 15 March 2027.
