Description
A Partnership Building Activity for youth workers, project coordinators and artists who want to use creative and artistic approaches in prevention work with young people, and build new European cooperation.
Arts of Prevention brings together 27 youth workers, project coordinators and artists who share an interest in creative approaches to primary prevention. We will explore how expressive arts, storytelling and creative expression can help young people talk about risky behaviour, unhealthy relationships, digital risks and gender stereotypes.
The programme mixes hands-on creative workshops, inputs from experts, peer learning and time to plan future projects together. There will be some lectures, but most of the time you will be active, trying things out and working with others.
We also focus on equal opportunities in artistic communities, such as dancers, actors and circus performers, who often face pressure around body image and gender roles. And we want to share simple, accessible approaches that reach young people with fewer opportunities, including young people from rural areas, disadvantaged backgrounds and the LGBT+ community.
The main goal is to meet the right people, build trust and start new partnerships and Erasmus+ projects. You will leave with new contacts, concrete ideas for cooperation and a set of creative prevention methods you can use in your everyday work.
