🇪🇸 ESC Volunteering in Spain 📣 Youth Service Activities and European Programme Communication 🌍

In this project We want to host one european volunteer in Portugalete, (Euskadi) The main objectives of the project are to support the activities and programs to revitalize the municipal Youth Service and to support the dissemination of European progrs.: - Design, program and stimulate the activities of the Municipal Youth Service together with the work team: workshops, recreational activities and outings with young people from 14 to 20 years old, - To acquire new volunteer management skills, which is the cornerstone of the entity - Improve the quality of the services and proposals directed at our member groups and the community in general - Support, together with the other volunteer and the team, the work of disseminating European programs (European Solidarity Corps, E+ and others) among the youth of Portugalete Support in the development of the entity's communication plan: website, social media. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Type of Accomodation Single Room in a shared flat with another European volunteer, (electricity, heating, Wi-Fi and water difusion included). Close to the place of volunteering and public transport. Local transportation Metro and bus monthly-pass for local transport (70 journeys/month).

Training during the activity

- Arrival training (first 3-4 days) in order to introduce the volunteer in the city and the project. - Training upon arrival of the N A together with other volunteers welcomed. 5-6 days (online or face-to-face depending on the measures in force) - Mentoring meetings every 2 or 3 weeks, (minimum one per month), in order to follow the experience and learning of the volunteer. - Mentor available by phone and WhatsApp in case of necessity. - Mentoring methods based in non-formal education and informal meetings. - Regular OLS (Online Linguistic Support) Training according to the ESC

Participant profile

- EU resident

- Experience and/or motivation to work with children, adolescents and youth through socio-educational programs and Educational Leisure Time.

- Age between 20 and 30 years old.

It would be valorated:

- Ability to communicate in Spanish will be valued (minimum level required to communicate with staff, participants and local volunteers)

- Previous experience as a volunteer or as a participant in leisure/scout groups or in socio-educational programmes is an advantage.

- Previous experience or knowledge of European programmes will be valued: Erasmus+, ESC,...
