Description
The volunteers will design and implement activities for students in their assigned high school, with the following objectives: - Raise awareness of European citizenship, mobility and solidarity values - Encourage language practice and speaking skills through peer-to-peer learning - Take part in the life of the school: clubs, events, special activities and the facilitation of dedicated student spaces - Suggest or co-create initiatives related to their skills and interests, such as intercultural evenings, cultural activities or other projects - Share their language, culture and personal experiences with students - Encourage openness, curiosity and dialogue between young people from different backgrounds Volunteers will also join the 2026โ2027 cohort of Unis-Citรฉ volunteers and will spend part of their time contributing to the various program led by Unis-Citรฉ volunteers in Seine-et-Marne. All volunteers will work together to organize a special event celebrating Europe Day on 9 May 2027.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
3 locations in Seine-et-Marne, near Paris The volunteers will be assigned in pairs to one of three high schools located in: Fontainebleau: 55 minutes from Paris by train, Meaux: 25 minutes from Paris, Nangis: 1 hour and 10 minutes from Paris by train. All three locations are in Seine-et-Marne, in the รle-de-France region, and offer easy access to Paris. Volunteers will live in pairs in accommodation located within the town where they will carry out their mission. The program covers: travel expenses, accommodation, food (allowance), bus card transport/train.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will take part in European Solidarity Corps seminars and citizenship training. They will improve their French through dedicated lessons and daily interaction with French young people, while helping students develop their language skills and discover Europe. They will encourage young people in Seine-et-Marne to travel in Europe and organize a major event promoting Europe. Volunteers will also join other Unis-Citรฉ activities, meet inspiring young people, and enjoy opportunities to visit Paris and Disneyland Paris.

Young people aged 18 to 30 Open to everyone, regardless of nationality, gender or background No previous experience or specific qualifications required An interest in education, European citizenship, intercultural exchange and culture Motivation to work with young people and discover the French education system Motivation to improve your French language skills Ability to communicate with different people and adapt to different audiences Enjoy working as part of a team Be comfortable interacting with high school students and young adults A driving licence is not required
