NeuroAI is an Erasmus+ training course for youth workers exploring cognitive diversity, neuroinclusive youth work and the responsible use of AI to adapt activities and create more accessible, engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

How can we make youth work more accessible to different brains? And how can AI help us adapt our activities without replacing the human connection at the heart of youth work?

NEURO AI is an Erasmus+ international training course bringing together youth workers and professionals from Bulgaria, Spain, Serbia, Türkiye, Greece, Latvia, Italy and Romania to explore the connection between cognitive diversity, neuroinclusive practice and Artificial Intelligence.

The training is designed for people 20+ years old who are actively involved in youth work and non-formal learning.

We are looking for participants who:

are 20+ years old;

are youth workers, trainers, facilitators, youth leaders, educators or other professionals working directly with young people in non-formal learning settings;

have experience or a strong interest in inclusion and working with young people with different cognitive profiles and needs;

are interested in exploring how AI can support more accessible and inclusive youth activities;

are willing to work practically with real activities and challenges from their own youth-work practice;

are motivated to participate actively in workshops, group work, peer learning and peer facilitation;

are ready to share what they learn and apply the approaches in their local youth-work practice after the training;

can communicate and participate in activities in English.

During the course, participants will explore how attention, information processing, communication, sensory needs, group dynamics and digital environments can influence young people's participation. They will bring real youth-work activities, identify potential barriers and redesign them to become more structured, flexible, accessible and engaging.

AI will be used as a supporting tool for youth workers to adapt instructions and content, create alternative participation formats, structure information and develop more inclusive activities. We will also address the ethical side of AI, including privacy, bias, safeguarding, labelling and the importance of human judgement.

The course will be highly practical and based on non-formal education, experiential learning, case work, peer exchange, activity redesign, experimentation and peer facilitation.

Participants will also co-create the Neuro-Inclusive AI Pocket Guide – a practical resource with checklists, activity adaptations, real examples, AI prompts and ethical guidance that youth workers can use in their everyday practice.

The goal is simple: to help youth workers better understand cognitive diversity and gain practical tools to design youth activities in which more young people can meaningfully participate.

Participation fee

No participation fee is required from participants.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and meals will be fully organised and provided by the project organisers for the entire duration of the training course. There is no cost for accommodation or food for participants, as these expenses are covered by the Erasmus+ programme.

Travel reimbursement

Yes. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ grant allocated to each country, up to the following maximum amounts per participant: Bulgaria: €56 Greece: €285 (green travel) Italy: €309 Latvia: €309 Romania: €417 (green travel) Spain: €395 Serbia: €285 (green travel) Türkiye: €417 (green travel) These are the maximum travel amounts foreseen in the approved project budget. Participants will be required to keep and submit all relevant travel documents and proof of payment for reimbursement. Travel arrangements should be agreed with the sending/hosting organisation before purchasing tickets. The hosting organisation will also organise transportation from Sofia to the mobility venue and back.
