Description

SOLIDARITY AND YOUTH 2026 offers one in-country individual volunteering placement with Asociación Europa 2020 in Puente Genil, Spain, for a young person resident in Spain with fewer opportunities. The volunteer will support youth information, participation and inclusion activities, help prepare non-formal education workshops and local events, assist with European mobility and solidarity initiatives, create accessible communication materials and promote the European Solidarity Corps, Erasmus+, active citizenship and intercultural dialogue. Tasks will be carried out with staff guidance and adapted to the volunteer's learning goals and support needs. The placement will not replace paid employment or involve inappropriate responsibility for vulnerable people.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Support will be provided in accordance with European Solidarity Corps rules. The volunteer will receive suitable accommodation in Puente Genil, food support and pocket money of €6 per activity day. Eligible travel costs will be covered according to the applicable distance band. Local transport will be provided when necessary. The organisation will arrange the insurance or healthcare coverage required for an in-country participant and provide additional inclusion support based on documented needs.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will take part in the training and evaluation cycle required by the Spanish National Agency, including on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation when applicable. They will have access to EU Academy/Online Linguistic Support and ongoing non-formal learning activities. A tutor, different from the daily supervisor, will provide individual support. Learning objectives will be reviewed regularly and documented through Youthpass.

Participant profile

We are looking for one young person aged 18–30 who is legally resident in Spain and faces fewer opportunities. No previous experience or specific qualification is required. The participant should be motivated to work with young people, communicate respectfully, learn through non-formal education and contribute to inclusive community activities. Interest in youth information, participation, communication, European programmes and social inclusion is valued. Basic digital and organisational skills are helpful but not compulsory. Reasonable support and adaptations will be agreed according to the participant’s needs. Selection will be inclusive and based on motivation, without discrimination.
