What the Scheme Is For
🏛️ The scheme is open to staff or trainees from a national, regional or local public authority, giving both the CoR and the official's employing institution the chance to enhance collaboration and networking.
📈 Participants gain insights into the work of the CoR while developing their own skills, competencies and knowledge.
Who Can Apply
🇪🇺 Staff or trainees from a national, regional or local public authority of an EU Member State or an official accession candidate, including civil servants enrolled in a governmental training programme. Third-country citizens may apply and be selected only in exceptional cases, subject to Belgian immigration and work rules.
🎓 Candidates who hold at least a Bachelor's degree (or have completed half of a relevant Bachelor's cycle), working at a level and with content corresponding to the duties of EU staff within the CoR.
🗣️ Excellent knowledge of French or English.

The Cost and Insurance Terms
💶 The visit is unpaid, and all expenses are to be covered by the participant or their sending authority; the CoR does not pay a grant.
🩺 Accident insurance is covered by the CoR, but you must hold obligatory health insurance for the whole period.

The Practical Frame
📆 2 to 6 months, which the Director in charge of Human Resources may extend up to a total of 12 months; the start date is agreed with the candidate.
🕗 Full-time, 40 hours per week, based in Brussels, Belgium.
📄 On request you'll provide confirmation of employment and your authority's agreement to the visit, proof of health insurance, and copies of relevant diplomas, certificates and professional-experience evidence.
