Description
The volunteer will contribute to the vibrant life of the boarding school. They will participate in school life by supporting the initiatives of the Student Union (MDL) and assisting with projects led by the eco-delegates. They will contribute to the implementation of activities that promote student engagement, civic participation, community spirit, and awareness of sustainable development issues. The volunteer may also participate in organizing events, activities, and group projects, while bringing an intercultural dimension thanks to their European experience. The mission aims to encourage student involvement and strengthen the participatory dynamic of the school. They may be asked to participate in community service projects and act as a liaison between the school and local associations.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation is provided in the facility, with a furnished room including a bed, wardrobe, desk, and sink. A small kitchen with a hob, microwave, and dishes is located next to the room. There are also shared bathroom facilities (toilet and shower) available for use by other staff members. The school cafeteria is open 7 days a week, offering all three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Accommodation includes access to a small, equipped kitchen for preparing meals. Public transport (bus) easily accessible from the establishment.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will receive support throughout their mission. They will participate in the training provided as part of the European Solidarity Corps (initial training upon arrival and mid-term eva-luation). During their mission, they will be supported by their mentor at the school and also by other staff members responsible for the actions or projects in which the volunteer will be invol-ved. They will be informed about the workings of the French education system, introduced to leading youth groups, sustainable development, and conducting civic and intercultural act
