🇨🇾 Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Cyprus 🕵️ Truth Seekers: Fact-Checking, Media Literacy and Critical Thinking 🧠

Fake news spreads faster than the truth, and knowing how to check what you read online is fast becoming a core life skill. "Truth Seekers" is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that brings together young people from five countries in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, to master fact-checking tools, sharpen critical thinking, and become active citizens who promote truth, respect and inclusion. Youth Works Hub gathers funded youth opportunities like this in one place, and this is the Spanish partner's call for its group — so here is everything the organisers shared.

What Truth Seekers Is

🕵️ Truth Seekers brings together young people from five countries to explore the digital world, strengthen critical thinking, learn how to verify information, and become active citizens who promote truth, respect and inclusion.

🌍 It is a hands-on week for anyone concerned about fake news and online misinformation who wants to master fact-checking tools, boost their digital literacy and connect with peers from across Europe.

🤝 The partner countries are Cyprus, Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia and Greece. This particular call is run by the Spanish partner (Almaturia), recruiting its group.

The Objectives

🧠 Critical thinking — question, analyse and evaluate information before believing or sharing it.

📱 Media and digital literacy — understand how media works and how information spreads.

🔍 Fact-checking — practical tools to verify sources, claims and digital content.

🛡️ Digital resilience and safety — protect yourself, others and your privacy online.

🌐 Intercultural dialogue — discover different perspectives and fight stereotypes.

📢 Youth as multipliers — use your new skills to inspire and create impact back home.

📜 An official Youthpass certificate is provided upon completion.

Who Can Apply

👤 Young people aged 18–30, motivated, open-minded and ready to learn.

💡 Interested in media, social media, fake news, digital literacy, democracy, human rights or inclusion.

📅 Available for the whole duration of the project.

📍 Residing in Spain or departing from a Spanish airport (this is the Spanish partner's group).

🗣️ Advanced English is not required, and previous Erasmus+ experience is not needed.

There are 7 participant spots (aged 18–30) plus 1 Group Leader (no age limit).

📆 8–16 October 2026, in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Accommodation is at the Melpo Antia Hotel & Suites.
