Description
We are looking for one volunteer who will be mainly involved in communication, content creation and community engagement. They will have the opportunity to support the organisation’s social media activities, create digital content and work with different design and communication tools, helping to promote You in Europe’s projects, activities and initiatives.
The mission will also include an important community and event organisation component. The volunteer will contribute to the preparation and organisation of workshops, meet-ups and other activities for the You in Europe community, as well as supporting thematic events whenever needed.
The exact responsibilities will be defined and adapted throughout the different stages of the project, taking into account the volunteer’s interests, skills and ideas.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Travel costs will be reimbursed for the journey to and from Greece, according to the EU’s official distance calculator.
The volunteer will stay in a shared apartment with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. The volunteer will have a private bedroom and will share the apartment with two other volunteers who are participating in different projects. The apartment will be fully equipped to meet the volunteer’s basic needs and provide a comfortable and dignified living environment.
The volunteer will receive a monthly food allowance of 160€, as well as 7€ per day throughout the project.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will take part in the on-arrival and mid-term training sessions organised by the National Agency as part of the European Solidarity Corps.
In addition, the organisation will provide internal training and guidance as needed, depending on the volunteer’s role, responsibilities, and learning needs. These sessions will help volunteers develop new skills and feel confident in carrying out their activities throughout the project.
Participant profile
We are looking for one motivated and enthusiastic volunteer, aged 18–30, who is genuinely interested in experiencing life as a volunteer, learning from the experience and developing both personal and professional skills.
We are looking for someone responsible, committed, and creative who enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with others. We value people who are willing to take initiative, share their ideas and experiences, and actively contribute to the organisation and its community.
Previous experience with digital tools, apps and social media platforms is not mandatory, but it will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or different social media platforms is especially welcome.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone curious, open-minded, proactive and eager to learn, and who wants to make the most of their volunteering experience in Greece.
