Description
Volunteers will support the daily activities of the centre including:
โโ Orchard (support for orchard management and participation in the exchange network with local farmers);
โโ Bio-construction (support on-site);
โโ Healthy living and natural food processing (kitchen management, self-production);
โโ Recycling and creative use of waste;
โโ Production of biodegradable products such as soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, etc;
โโ Support for event organization, reception, and logistics;
โโ Support for promotion (photos, social media) and visibility of activities;
โโ Support for the creation and management of youth exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme;
โโ Promoting volunteering experience by:
โโ writing blog article, producing dissemination output;
The volunteer will also participate in collective activities/meetings aimed at cohesion of the volunteer group and meeting and coexistence with the association community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be hosted in a shared dormitory with other volunteers inside the Eco-village. This is equipped with all the needed (water, electricity, heating, furniture). Free wi-fi is available. All meals are provided by the community and these are vegan. Meals will usually be eaten all together. During holidays or days off, the host organization will provide a daily budget of 5 euros per day for meals. Local transport and communications: the volunteer will be provided with public transport tickets whenever needed to carry on the service.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive training at arrival to be able to interact and carry on the assigned tasks. The service will be approximately 30-38 hours per week, including language preparation. The volunteer is entitled to two consecutive free days per week (unless arranged differently in mutual agreement between the volunteer and the host organisation), two days of holiday per month and free days on the National Holidays of the hosting country.
