The International Criminal Court (ICC) is hiring an Associate Logistics Officer (Travel and Transport) at the P-2 level in The Hague, on a two-year fixed-term appointment with a minimum net annual salary of €71,403. The role supervises the Court's travel and transport operations, and the application deadline is 5 September 2026.
Where This Role Sits
The position is in the Logistics, Travel and Transport Unit (LTTU), General Services Section (GSS), Division of Management Services, Registry. GSS runs owner-occupied and rental premises, procurement, and the LTTU, which provides distribution, supply chain services, fleet management, property control, inventory, Court commercial insurance contracts, logistics and shipping, transportation and mail operations at HQ and country offices, as well as all official ICC travel, visa services, residence permits at The Hague, privileges-and-immunities administration and shipment of personal goods on appointment and separation.
Duties and Responsibilities
✈️ Supervise the work of the Travel and Transport teams, planning and reviewing tasks, establishing priorities and ensuring service standards and security protocols are met.
📊 Assess day-to-day workflows across travel, protocol and transport operations, improving practices, strengthening adherence to KPIs and ensuring timely resolution of issues involving staff, elected officials and external authorities.
💻 Coordinate system-related requirements impacting travel and transport, contributing to development, testing and implementation of ERP (SAP) and EDMS solutions and providing operational inputs for process automation, reporting and data accuracy.
🤝 Lead procurement activities, defining scope of work for travel and transport tenders and negotiating competitive fares with airlines, hotels and service providers, and develop, maintain and improve travel and transportation KPIs.
🛂 Liaise with client front offices, the Security and Safety Section, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and police forces; supervise the application and issuance of United Nations Laissez-Passers (UNLPs) and MFA ID cards; monitor and verify invoices and vendor performance; support budget estimates; and support HR functions, orientation and performance appraisals.

Who Can Apply
🎓 An advanced university degree in business administration, international business (global travel operations), logistics operations or supply chain management is required. A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu.
📅 A minimum of two years (four with a first-level degree) of progressively responsible experience in travel administration or a closely related area is required, along with knowledge of flight reservation systems such as the Galileo System and working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
🚚 Demonstrated professional experience supervising a team is required; experience in transport and fleet management, in an international organisation within the UN common system, and accounting knowledge are assets.
Language
🗣️ Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is required; working knowledge of the other is desirable, and a working knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
