UNICEF's Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO) is hiring a Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Senior Expert Consultant based in Istanbul and working remotely, for a 10-month assignment open to international consultants. The role secures and grows high-value private-sector partnerships across the region, and the application deadline is 2 September 2026.

About the Assignment

The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Senior Expert Consultant is engaged to provide technical expertise and operational support for securing and growing high-value partnerships, particularly through private-sector engagement, across markets in the region.

🌍 The Consultant plays a pivotal role in strengthening UNICEF's high-value fundraising opportunities across Europe and Central Asia (ECA), supporting Country Offices and the Regional Office in cultivating, winning and managing high-value partnerships, increasing the scale and quality of funding for children in ECA, designing tailored engagement strategies, and facilitating innovative approaches to maximize influence and income from businesses.

🤝 Familiarity with UNICEF programmatic work and the ability to work across teams to design and deliver compelling proposals is key to the assignment. The consultancy sits within the Partnerships and Fundraising Section, ECARO O/P Istanbul, on a 10-month remote arrangement.

What the Consultant Brings

📈 Proven experience developing strategies and roadmaps for private-sector collaboration.

🧭 A strong understanding of the ECA regional context, including some understanding of health, ECCE, ECI, parenting support and violence prevention.

🔎 Excellent research, communication and stakeholder-engagement skills, alongside excellent drafting, formulation, reporting and proposal-development skills.

🤝 The ability to work inclusively and collaboratively across multicultural teams and with Country Office, Regional Office and partner stakeholders, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based tools, working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

Who Can Apply

🎓 A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, International Development, Marketing or another relevant technical field is required.

📅 At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in private-sector engagement, partnership development, corporate social responsibility or related areas is required.

🌟 Desirable: experience with Child Rights and Business Principles, and previous engagement with the UN and/or UNICEF, with Country Office experience an added value.

Language

🗣️ Fluency in English is required.
