Description
You will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems and evidence-based programming of AAH in the Philippines and contribute to strengthening vulnerable communities’ capacity to anticipate, respond and recover from climate change and environmental shocks. You will contribute to the collection, analysis and use of quality data to measure project results, assess the relevance, effectiveness and sustainability of interventions, strengthen accountability to affected communities, and document lessons, good practices and innovations. You will also contribute to generation and communication of evidence, to the promotion of adaptive learning, and the identification of opportunities for continuous program improvement, while fostering innovative, accountable and learning-oriented humanitarian action.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
We cover your accommodation, travel, visa, medical checkup and vaccinations costs, and you will be provided with monthly pocket money for your free time and personal hygiene. During the deployment you will be provided with a laptop and phone of the organization to ensure the means to carry out the activities. In case of belonging to one of the Fewer Opportunities categories (please, check the details with the organization) additional inclusion measures and benefits will be applied.
Training during the activity
During the deployment you will have access to the full catalog of training courses offered on ACF Virtual Campus and will have the opportunity to benefit from additional external courses.
Participant profile
You have an academic background in humanitarian action, development studies, statistics, data management, or related fields, with a strong interest in evidence-based humanitarian and development programming. You have English proficiency at C1 level and demonstrate strong analytical, process-oriented and organizational skills. Ideally you have experience or a strong interest in MEAL, data and information management, project monitoring, digital data collection and analysis, with an understanding of how to assess and track outputs, outcomes and impacts. Good computer and IT skills, particularly in data management, digital assessment tools and data analysis, are essential. You will join our field teams engaged in humanitarian operations and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a well-recognized international organization dedicated to the fight against hunger. You will gain first-hand experience of humanitarian action, life in the field, and high-impact interventions.
