Description

The city of Nantes has entrusted the management of after-school services in Nantes public schools to Léo Lagrange Animation.

Léo Lagrange Animation educational project is to promote the development of all children and their educational success.

After-school care is a place for sharing common values and a space-time for children to flourish. They contribute to the enrichment of social bonds, the fight against inequalities.

Léo Lagrange Animation, mission périscolaire nantaise, is looking for 1 ESC volunteer with digital skills motivated to work by supporting a digital project with children (3-11 years old).

He will design, prepare and organize socio-educational workshops as part of digital-focused projects like coding workshops, robotics, neighborhood newspapper…).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accomodation : the volunteer will be housed in a shared accomodation with 5 other european volunteers (boys or girls). He will have his own room.

Transport : Volunteer will receive a monthly bus pass that will allow him to travel from his accomodation to the Nantes mission headquarters or to the extracurricular sites.

Food : Volunteer will have lunch in the school restaurant on the days of their intervention during the school year and willo receive a monthly allowance for other meals.


Training during the activity

On-arrival and mid-term seminars organized by the French Agency.

The volunteer can join French group classes (subject to availabilities at certain periods).

As well as other trainin related to environment and E3D depending on the level of french.


Participant profile

We expect the volunteer to be motivated, be willing to discover and to learn, to be open-minded to try new things, with sincere interest in our activities and in learning French (for better interactions with the children)

The first Interviews will take place between the 7th and 17th of September.
