Description

The volunteer will take part in the various activities organised by the Youth Department.

The volunteer will particularly contribute to:

  • Engaging and motivating children and young people to participate in activities.
  • Helping develop and implement new projects.
  • Supporting children with their schoolwork, while building trusting relationships with young people.
  • Organising and leading educational and creative workshops adapted to their needs and interests.

As part of the mission, the volunteer will also:

  • Participate in the different activities of the Youth Department in order to discover how the service operates.
  • Occasionally take part in activities, outings and trips organised for children and young people.
  • Co-design and co-lead creative, sports and cultural workshops on Wednesday afternoons, during school holidays and during extracurricular activities.
  • Take part in special events and key activities organised by the youth centres.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will have a private bedroom and private bathroom in a shared apartment with another volunteer from a different project.

Lunch is provided on weekdays. The volunteer can reach the volunteering place by bike, bus or on foot, depending on their preference.

We are looking for a volunteer who speaks French or is motivated to learn it, has a very good level of English, and is interested in getting involved in this mission working with children and young people.
