🔷 Activity Details
Description
Join the MFR of Sainte-Florine, an educational and vocational training centre welcoming around 120 young people. The volunteer will promote European mobility, active citizenship and intercultural dialogue. Activities will include creating workshops, presenting their culture, challenging stereotypes, supporting debates and European projects, contributing to communication, and proposing playful English or French activities. The role can be adapted to the volunteer’s interests, with support from the MFR and Concordia Auvergne.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation will be provided by the MFR in Sainte-Florine. The volunteer will have private, furnished accommodation with access to the necessary everyday facilities. Accommodation and utility costs will be fully covered. The volunteer will receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money in accordance with European Solidarity Corps rules. International travel costs will be reimbursed up to the amount established by the programme’s distance calculator. Concordia and the MFR will help the volunteer understand local transport options and organise their daily mobility.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will participate in the on-arrival and mid-term training sessions organised by the French National Agency. They will have access to the EU Academy platform and online French-language courses. A dedicated tutor at the MFR will support their activities and daily integration, while Concordia Auvergne will provide regular individual follow-up, mentoring and support throughout the project. Additional training in non-formal education and project development may also be offered.
Participant profile
We are looking for an active, responsible and motivated volunteer who is ready to live in a rural area and work with young people from different backgrounds. The participant should be communicative, adaptable, autonomous and interested in education, European mobility, intercultural learning and non-formal education. A good level of English or French, together with a strong motivation to learn French, is expected. Creativity, initiative and a willingness to develop personal activities are highly appreciated. Due to the rural location and the level of autonomy required, applicants aged 20 or over will be prioritised. A driving licence is strongly appreciated but not mandatory. The volunteer must be available for the full 12-month project.
