Description

TASKS:

Garden work and community activities: we will improve green spaces around the Akwedukt by planting and maintaining greenery, cleaning the nearby park, and taking part in eco-friendly and creative activities.

Youth Space activities and workshops: you will support Youth Space by facilitating workshops for young people, sharing your skills and ideas, and participating in activities such as cooking sessions and country presentations that promote intercultural learning.


Animal shelter support: you will take part in regular dog walking at the local animal shelter, helping care for the animals and supporting their well-being.

Implement your own activities and initiatives: individually or as a team, you will develop and carry out your own workshops or community activities based on your skills and interests.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteer will be accomodated with another volunteers in Kwidzyn. Every house consists of 3-4 rooms shared by 2-3 volunteers. The kitchen and bathroom are always shared. 


Every flat has an internet connection. 

All the flats are equipped with:

  • Bed covers (x1/room), blanket and pillow.
  • Cleaning stuff (broom, mop, dustpan, etc.)
  • Iron (x1/flat).
  • Heating in every flat/room
  • Kitchen pots, plates, silverware, and cooking tools (simple but enough for daily life).
  • Oven and cooker,
  • Refrigerator with freezer.

You have to care about your private towels and hygienic stuff like soap, shampoo, hairdryer etc

Training during the activity

Volunteers are provided with an induction training, workplace health and safety training, and Polish language lessons once a week.

Participant profile

We are looking for young people, including those who are new to volunteering. We seek motivated individuals who are not afraid of outdoor and gardening work, enjoy working as part of a team, and are eager to contribute to the project. Experience in facilitating workshops is considered an asset, but it is not a requirement.
