Description
The Entrepreneurship Trainer will support the economic empowerment of internally displaced youth and women by delivering practical training in business planning, financial literacy, and small enterprise development. The role aims to build participants' capacity to launch and sustain their own ventures, promoting self-employment, women's empowerment, and long-term community resilience. // RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and facilitate training sessions on entrepreneurship, business planning, and financial management; Provide guidance on developing viable business ideas and accessing microfinance or grants; Support participants in drafting and refining basic business plans; Encourage women and youth to take active roles in small-scale enterprises; Monitor progress and report on key indicators; Promote sustainable, community-based entrepreneurship models tailored to local realities.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will be accommodated in a house located in the Tserovani settlement, within walking distance of the office. Depending on deployment overlap, the volunteer may share the house with one other volunteer, but will have their own lockable room. Markets for basic daily needs are available nearby. Tbilisi can be reached within approximately 30 minutes when needed.
Training during the activity
Upon arrival, the volunteer will receive a comprehensive induction training to familiarise them with the organization, its work, and the local context. Throughout the assignment, the volunteer will be supported in participating in relevant capacity building activities and field visits, providing practical insight into the communities and populations the organization serves.
Participant profile
THIS IS 9-MONTH LONG DEPLOYMENT. POSITION NOT SUITABLE FOR CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS ESC/EVS/EU VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE EXCEEDING 3 MONTHS. We are looking for a motivated and practically-minded individual with a background or strong interest in entrepreneurship, business development, economics, or a related field. The ideal candidate is encouraging, resourceful, and committed to promoting economic independence among vulnerable groups, particularly women and youth. Experience in business training, mentoring, or microfinance is an advantage. The volunteer should be comfortable facilitating participatory workshops, adapting content to diverse learning levels, and working sensitively within a displacement-affected community.
