๐Ÿ”ท Activity Details

Description

Stowarzyszenie Akwedukt is a NGO that carries out local and community-based activities and creates opportunities for young people to get involved in volunteering and social projects.

As a volunteer, you will become part of our team and support the everyday functioning of the organisation. This is a good opportunity for a young person who would like to gain practical experience in office work and learn how an NGO operates.

The volunteer will support the team with everyday office and organisational activities, including:

  • Scanning, photocopying, printing and organising documents
  • Filing and archiving paperwork
  • Sending, receiving and organising correspondence
  • Working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Helping with general office administration
  • Keeping the office and shared spaces tidy and organised
  • Supporting the preparation of meetings and activities
  • Communicating with volunteers and helping with basic organisational matters
  • Helping with other simple administrative tasks
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We are renting 2 flats for our volunteers in Kwidzyn. Every house consists of 3-4 rooms shared by 2-3 volunteers. The kitchen and bathroom are always shared.

Every flat has an internet connection.

All the flats are equipped with:

  • Bed covers (x1/room), blanket and pillow.
  • Cleaning stuff (broom, mop, dustpan, etc.)
  • Iron (x1/flat).
  • Heating in every flat/room
  • Kitchen pots, plates, silverware, and cooking tools (simple but enough for daily life).
  • Oven and cooker,
  • Refrigerator with freezer.

You have to care about your private towels and hygienic stuff like soap, shampoo, hairdryer etc.

Training during the activity

Each volunteer will receive basic training in office work, the use of office equipment, and the computer programs necessary for working in an office.

Participant profile

We are looking for a young person who is:

  • Open-minded, responsible and willing to learn
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Comfortable with basic computer and office tasks
  • Interested in working with people and supporting other volunteers
  • Communicative and friendly
