Ready for a new challenge? The Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) has been responsible since 1815 for regulating and facilitating navigation on the Rhine. This international organisation is recognised for its key role in navigation in Europe and works at the crossroads of technical, social and environmental issues. The recruitment firm Eureca is looking, on behalf of this organisation, for a Conference Translator and Interpreter (M/F), a native Dutch speaker, to strengthen its language team.
The Position
This is a fixed-term contract (CDD) for a duration of 4 years, with the prospect of conversion into a permanent contract (CDI). You will work in beautiful premises in the heart of Strasbourg, with the possibility of partial telework. Reporting to the Secretary General and working within the team of translators, your missions include:
📝 Translating editorial, technical and sometimes politically sensitive texts from German and French into Dutch, respecting deadlines, quality requirements and the terminology in force, while organising your workload with autonomy and flexibility
🔎 Monitoring the organisation's areas of activity as well as terminological and linguistic developments, and updating translation memories and glossaries
🤝 Close collaboration with authors on linguistic and stylistic choices
🎧 Simultaneous interpretation from German into Dutch and vice versa during meetings, working groups and interpreted interviews held at the organisation's headquarters
📚 Preparing each interpretation assignment: reviewing working documents, the agenda and video materials, and targeted terminology research

You Will Succeed in This Role If
🎓 You hold a Master's degree in translation and conference interpretation, with excellent command of German in addition to your native Dutch. A good command of French (B2 to C1) is an asset
💼 You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in translation and interpretation
✅ You are organised, rigorous, and enjoy teamwork, but above all you have a passion for work well done
