Description

Technical support volunteer for the fundraising strategy, aimed at securing funding for TECHO Honduras’s operations and enabling the organisation to meet its social and administrative objectives in a sustainable manner. The role will involve helping to generate, maintain and optimise funding for TECHO Honduras so that its national operations can be carried out. Assist in the management of corporate partnerships by contacting and following up with companies, organisations and commercial partners to establish strategic alliances for sponsorship and social investment.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project is financed by the EU and has the following conditions: -A monthly allowance of 700 EUR is provided to volunteer for covering basic needs. -The accommodation, visa fees, return flights, vaccination costs, the health insurance, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and the expenses related to transportation will be covered by the programme; -For each month of voluntary activity 2 days of holidays are provided.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive briefings by MdM and TECHO at MdM HQ in Madrid, as well as a mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations. They will be part of a multidisciplinary team where they will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context. They will learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective, as well as foster their leadership.

Participant profile

Required competences: - Written and communication skills; - Details and deadlines oriented; - Collaboration and teamwork; - Able to work independently and work as part of a team; - Genuinely motivated to contribute; - A willingness to learn; - Respect and diligence. Minimum requirements: - Fluent in Spanish; - Autonomy, flexibility and adaptation; - Willingness to accept the local context; - Motivation to work. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
