Description
- To develop activities that provide young people with cultural and social volunteering experiences that foster intercultural dialogue, civic awareness, democratic participation, the appropriation of European values, European solidarity, and a sense of belonging to Europe.
- To use volunteering as a means of capacity-building, inclusion, and empowerment, by supporting the implementation of Évora_27 cultural and community activities while enhancing volunteers’ personal, social, linguistic, and organisational competences.
- To contribute to the creation of a sustainable legacy of cultural volunteering and community participation in Évora and across the Alentejo region.

Volunteers must hold a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for the entire duration of the programme.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive initial training as well as appropriate support and ongoing training throughout the project
Participant profile
We are looking for young people who are:
- motivated and interested in culture, the arts, and community-based projects;
- eager to take part in an international cultural experience;
- interested in discovering Évora, the Alentejo region, and Portuguese culture;
- able to work effectively in a team and adapt to new situations;
- responsible, organised, and proactive;
- confident in communication and interpersonal relations;
- sensitive to issues of inclusion, diversity, and accessibility;
- willing to learn, share knowledge, and contribute positively to the community.
Previous volunteering experience is not required. Motivation, willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in contributing to the European Capital of Culture experience will be highly valued.
