🔷 Activity Details

Description

Tele Radio City (TRC) works in independent communication, information and socio-cultural events. It runs Globalproject.info, Meltingpot.org, Sherwood.it and Radio Sherwood, covering social movements, current affairs, international politics, migration, citizenship rights, economics, political ecology and culture. Every summer, TRC organises Sherwood Festival, an independent music and cultural event. TRC coordinated S-Info, an EU-funded project that developed cooperation between independent journalism and activism, and currently leads Co-Resist, promoting democratic resilience and counter-narratives against discrimination and authoritarianism. TRC has experience in European project design and management, including partnership building, proposal development, work package coordination, financial administration, communication, dissemination and multimedia production. Volunteers may contribute to web writing, social media, translation, radio, podcasting, video-making and audio-video editing

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

There is a kitchen inside the facility. For transport and hospitality we turn to the Xena Association of Padua

Training during the activity

Web journalism and content writing, production of transmedia and multimedia content, radio direction and broadcasting, podcasting, social media management, organisation and promotion of cultural events, and communication and dissemination activities for European projects.

Participant profile

Volunteers with different backgrounds such as age, gender, previous experience, study path, and so on will be welcome. And there will be no discrimination against gender, religion, political or sexual orientation. While the role does not require fluency in Italian, knowledge of the language is preferred as it will support smoother communication and engagement with our projects. The choice of volunteers will be made on the basis of their motivation, interest in the scope of intervention of the host organization and the willingness to play an active role in their project.
