๐ฏ About the Internship Programme
The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience. The programme also targets candidates who hold a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations or for whom an internship is required to complete their studies, or who are sponsored by governmental or non-governmental institutions and academia, and who are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme or have graduated in the last 12 months.

๐ฃ Responsibilities
๐จ Assist in designing simple information, education and communication materials, especially those related to the protection and rights of migrant workers
๐ฑ Support in creating, updating and organizing content for IOM Chile's website and social media channels, including capturing and editing photos and videos and preparing basic multimedia materials to strengthen the Mission's digital presence and overall visibility
๐ Assist with the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of digital communication campaigns
๐ Assist with coordinating with vendors to produce and translate communication materials into various languages
๐ค Participate in community outreach and awareness activities that promote safe migration by supporting logistics or documentation
๐ธ Support programme visibility by supporting event coverage and assisting with media coordination
๐ก Contribute to the development of content and communication products, including messages and graphics, that inform audiences, stimulate reflection and promote public discussion on key migration issues, to be used during special events, communication campaigns and United Nations observances, ensuring alignment with IOM's communication objectives

๐ Gain a better understanding of IOM's work as an inter-governmental organization in the field of migration, and work on formulating and editing institutional strategies, priorities and workplans

๐ค The intern will have the possibility to interact with IOM staff within Headquarters and IOM Missions
โ Education
๐ Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme, meaning minimum bachelor's level or equivalent, or in a master's degree or higher, or have recently graduated, in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution
๐ผ Experience
๐ฑ Interest in communication, social media, migration topics or public information work
๐ฌ Experience in digital content creation, including graphic design, photography, videography and audiovisual editing
๐ Experience with online communication, social media management and basic analytics
๐ ๏ธ Skills
โ๏ธ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong drafting, editing, formulation and reporting abilities
๐๏ธ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, in particular Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro
๐ป Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools
๐๏ธ Ability to perform administrative tasks and accurate data entry
๐จ Knowledge of design approaches, tools and methodologies
๐ Creativity, attention to detail and openness to feedback
๐ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
๐ Interest and willingness to strengthen technical communication skills and learn new tools

For this internship, fluency in English and Spanish is required, both oral and written. Proficiency of the languages required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and oral assessments.

๐ฐ Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs, and interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend
๐ก๏ธ IOM covers interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan, free of charge, for the duration of the internship
๐ฉบ IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses, and interns are responsible for their own medical insurance and must provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work
๐ Any offer is subject to funding confirmation, and appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements and security clearances
