The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience. The programme also targets candidates who hold a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations or for whom an internship is required to complete their studies, or who are sponsored by governmental or non-governmental institutions and academia, and who are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme or have graduated in the last 12 months.

๐ŸŽจ Assist in designing simple information, education and communication materials, especially those related to the protection and rights of migrant workers

๐Ÿ“ฑ Support in creating, updating and organizing content for IOM Chile's website and social media channels, including capturing and editing photos and videos and preparing basic multimedia materials to strengthen the Mission's digital presence and overall visibility

๐Ÿ“Š Assist with the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of digital communication campaigns

๐ŸŒ Assist with coordinating with vendors to produce and translate communication materials into various languages

๐Ÿค Participate in community outreach and awareness activities that promote safe migration by supporting logistics or documentation

๐Ÿ“ธ Support programme visibility by supporting event coverage and assisting with media coordination

๐Ÿ’ก Contribute to the development of content and communication products, including messages and graphics, that inform audiences, stimulate reflection and promote public discussion on key migration issues, to be used during special events, communication campaigns and United Nations observances, ensuring alignment with IOM's communication objectives

๐ŸŽฌ Experience in digital content creation, including graphic design, photography, videography and audiovisual editing

โœ๏ธ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong drafting, editing, formulation and reporting abilities

๐Ÿ’ฐ Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs, and interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ IOM covers interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan, free of charge, for the duration of the internship

๐Ÿฉบ IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses, and interns are responsible for their own medical insurance and must provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work
