Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2008 by female survivors of human trafficking. SASANE operates under the principle that survivors possess the strength and insight to drive social change, aiming to end the physical and sexual exploitation of women and girls in Nepal.

SASANE's mission is to eradicate human trafficking and gender-based violence by empowering survivors through education, legal advocacy and sustainable employment. The organization adopts a rights-based approach, focusing on prevention, protection, prosecution and partnerships to address the root causes of exploitation. SASANE has a formal safeguarding policy, which its Executive Board and General Assembly approved, and which covers staff, interns, volunteers, partners, stakeholders and visitors. All new staff members and volunteers or interns are required to read SASANE's Safeguarding Policy and sign its Safeguarding Code of Conduct, and undergo induction training to become familiar with the organisation's safeguarding policy and procedures. The organisation has zero tolerance for safeguarding incidents, treats all reported concerns with the highest degree of confidentiality, and expects everyone involved in its work to report concerns, suspicions, allegations and incidents of actual or potential abuse.
