Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2008 by female survivors of human trafficking. SASANE operates under the principle that survivors possess the strength and insight to drive social change, aiming to end the physical and sexual exploitation of women and girls in Nepal.
SASANE's mission is to eradicate human trafficking and gender-based violence by empowering survivors through education, legal advocacy and sustainable employment. The organization adopts a rights-based approach, focusing on prevention, protection, prosecution and partnerships to address the root causes of exploitation. It is a survivor-led organization that strives to protect women from sex trafficking, forced prostitution, domestic servitude, debt bondage and forced labor, and works towards eliminating societal harm victimizing women and children, promoting the educational and economic development of women and children.

๐ Research international grant and funding opportunities
๐ Assist in writing grant proposals, concept notes and funding applications
๐ Prepare supporting documents and narratives
๐ Collect and organize program data, statistics and impact stories
๐ค Collaborate with the SASANE team to gather project information
๐๏ธ Edit and proofread proposals before submission
๐๏ธ Maintain a grant calendar with application deadlines
๐ Support donor reports and proposal revisions when needed
โ Desired Qualifications

๐ผ Experience in grant writing, proposal writing, fundraising, research or nonprofit development is preferred

SASANE has a formal safeguarding policy, which its Executive Board and General Assembly approved, and which covers staff, interns, volunteers, partners, stakeholders and visitors. All new staff members and volunteers or interns are required to read SASANE's Safeguarding Policy and sign its Safeguarding Code of Conduct, and undergo induction training to become familiar with the organisation's safeguarding policy and procedures. The organisation has zero tolerance for safeguarding incidents, treats all reported concerns with the highest degree of confidentiality, and expects everyone involved in its work to report concerns, suspicions, allegations and incidents of actual or potential abuse.
