Are you passionate about how Europe brings nature back? The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) European Regional Office in Bonn is looking for a highly motivated Intern to join its Programme and Policy team and support IUCN's work on nature restoration across Europe.

What You'll Do
The Intern joins the Programme and Policy team, supporting IUCN's work on nature restoration in Europe under the supervision of the Senior Programme Manager:
๐ฑ Support and follow the implementation of key projects, with a focus on the EU Nature Restoration Regulation's implementation and National Restoration Plans.
๐ Support the research for and drafting of reports, briefings, policy papers and other documents.
๐ฃ๏ธ Support the organization of discussions with external stakeholders.
๐ช Support the organization of meetings and events, and provide notes from relevant events and meetings.
๐๏ธ Support the team in a range of administrative functions on a day to day basis, and other tasks as delegated.
Who Can Apply
๐ Have secured the right to live and work in Germany for the entire duration of the internship. IUCN will not assist with visa or work permit applications, nor alter applicants' visa status. Applicants must be an EU national or holder of an EU work permit.
๐ Be enrolled in a university or equivalent tertiary institution (undergraduates having completed at least one year of full time study; graduate students completing their degrees), in a relevant programme, holding student status for the entire internship, studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Natural Sciences, Biology, Politics or Social Science.
Knowledge of EU nature conservation and restoration policies and a good understanding of the EU and its institutions, complete fluency in English with excellent writing and editing, sound IT skills with Microsoft Office, and proven analytical, organizational, multitasking and problem solving skills are required.

๐๏ธ Expected start date: 01 September 2026. Fixed term, up to 6 months.
๐ผ This is a non paid internship. Interns or their sponsoring institutions are responsible for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses. Students are encouraged to apply to their university for an Erasmus+ Internship grant.
