Are you ready to learn, act, and create change together with young people from different countries? "It's time to act!" is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Latvia bringing together motivated young people to explore active participation, sustainability, intercultural learning, and youth empowerment through non-formal education, creative workshops, and hands-on teamwork, with part of the experience taking place in an outdoor camp by the sea.

The project is organised by Young Folks LV, a non-profit youth organisation that creates a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for young people to develop their skills, confidence, and creativity.

"It's time to act!" brings together young people who are ready to learn, act, collaborate, and create positive change. During the youth exchange, participants take part in non-formal education activities, group work, creative workshops, intercultural learning, and practical sessions focused on active participation, sustainability, and youth empowerment.
Project Dates
๐ฌ 15 July: arrival and travel day
๐ฏ 16 to 21 July: project activity days
๐ซ 22 July: departure and travel day
Participants must be available for the full duration of the project, including both travel days.

๐ฅ 10 participants per country, aged 16 to 22
๐งโ๐ซ 2 group leaders per country, aged 18 and over
๐ค Around 50% of participants should be young people with fewer opportunities
This exchange is aimed at residents of ๐ฑ๐ป Latvia, ๐ฑ๐น Lithuania, and ๐ช๐ช Estonia.
Who Can Apply?
This project is for young people who:
โจ Are motivated to take part in an international youth exchange
๐ฑ Are interested in active participation, sustainability, and youth work
๐จ Are open to non-formal education and learning by doing
๐ Are ready to work in an intercultural group and contribute, share ideas, and take part in all activities
โก Are comfortable with a dynamic, group-based programme
๐ Are ready to travel by green travel options
This is not for you if you are only looking for a free trip, are uncomfortable with outdoor living conditions, are unwilling to follow the rules or take responsibility, or are not open to teamwork, feedback, and learning.
Food
๐ฝ๏ธ Food is organised for the group based on participants' dietary preferences and needs
๐จโ๐ณ During the camping, food is provided 3+ times per day, cooked by a certified chef with 15+ years of experience, with vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free, allergy-friendly, and other options
Accommodation
๐จ In Riga: participants stay in a hostel in the city centre, in rooms of 3 to 5 people, with a kitchen, modern toilets, and showers, about 20 minutes from the office
โบ In Veczemju Klintis: participants stay in tents at the Veczemju Klintis Camping Center, with a kitchen and modern facilities (4 WC rooms and 2 shower rooms)
Please note that part of the project takes place in outdoor camp conditions, so participants should be ready for tent life, shared spaces, and active participation in daily camp routines.
Travel and Covered Costs
๐ Green travel is required for 100% of participants, and travel costs are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules and project limits; keep all travel documents, tickets, boarding passes, and receipts
๐ Erasmus+ covers accommodation during the project, meals during the activity days, programme activities and materials, and travel reimbursement according to the approved limits
Rules During the Mobility
All participants are expected to respect the rules of the organisation. Violence, discrimination, harassment, bullying, alcohol consumption or smoking, 18+ materials, jokes about sensitive topics, unsafe behaviour, and refusal to follow safety rules will not be tolerated. Serious rule violations may result in removal from the activity, informing the sending organisation and National Agency, and suspension or refusal of reimbursement, in line with the signed agreement.
