The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is an autonomous intergovernmental body responsible for developing and promoting policies to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of weapons of mass destruction. The FATF has 38 countries and 2 regional organisations as members, along with 9 FATF-style regional bodies, comprising a Global Network of over 200 countries and jurisdictions. The FATF Secretariat is looking for a dynamic Communications Assistant with excellent communication and organisational skills to support its Communications team, reporting to the Strategic Communications and Media Relations Manager.

Main Responsibilities

Communications Support

๐Ÿ“ Assist in preparing content for publication, including formatting and quality checks, ensuring work aligns with FATF and OECD rules, processes, and best practices

๐ŸŒ Update and maintain the FATF website

๐Ÿ“ฑ Participate in developing and designing engaging digital content for social media campaigns to raise awareness of FATF activities

๐ŸŽค Support high-profile publication launches, webinars, events, and media briefings

๐Ÿ“ฐ Assist with media engagement by managing a media directory and processing media enquiries

๐Ÿ“Š Provide input into impact monitoring and analysis for FATF web and social media accounts

๐Ÿ“‹ Support the development of online communications guidelines for FATF staff, including documenting processes

Administration and Other Tasks

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Support strategic communications planning by ensuring FATF activities and events are included in the central Secretariat calendar

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Provide administrative support to the Communications team, such as procurement of new tools and software, and to the FATF IT team as needed

๐Ÿ’ป Provide back-up support to the FATF IT team regarding delegate and staff access to secure online platforms, and during Zoom events or webcasts

Ideal Candidate Profile

๐ŸŽ“ A university degree or equivalent, ideally in a related field such as journalism or communications

๐Ÿ’ผ A minimum of 2 years of experience as a communications assistant or in a similar role, preferably in an international organisation, including relations with internal and external stakeholders

๐ŸŽจ Demonstrated proficiency in developing engaging digital content, monitoring communications impact, using web content management systems and social media, and formatting Word documents and managing the document lifecycle

๐Ÿ“š Good knowledge of the administrative rules and procedures of the OECD or another international organisation, or a proven ability to learn new rules and procedures quickly

๐ŸŒ Web content management systems (ideally Adobe Experience Management)

๐Ÿ“ˆ Impact monitoring and evaluation tools (such as Google Analytics)

๐ŸŽจ Graphic design software (InDesign, Canva, PlayPlay, Premiere) for digital content creation

๐Ÿ“ฑ Social media platforms including X, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Languages

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level
