Your Role

Policy Support (90%)

๐Ÿ“š Support the policy team with research and analysis of current policy initiatives

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Monitor relevant developments in EU legislative processes

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Communicate on policy initiatives and relevant developments to internal and external stakeholders

๐Ÿ“ Draft and disseminate reports, briefings, and info notes for internal use

๐Ÿ“จ Draft and disseminate the advocacy newsletters for LLLP members

๐Ÿค Liaise with the communication team for external dissemination and with the project team to align project outputs with LLLP's general policy objectives

๐ŸŽง Attend and report on relevant meetings on behalf of LLLP, without speaking duties

๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ Take minutes at LLLP policy events, including the Erasmus+ Coalition, internal working groups, flagship events, and policy events of LLLP projects

Administration (10%)

๐ŸŽช Support LLLP in the organisation of events

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Archive and file relevant documents created for policy and project colleagues

Essential Qualifications and Experience

๐ŸŽ“ A post-secondary degree in European studies, project management, educational sciences, political science, or a related discipline, and/or relevant work or volunteer experience in education or the non-profit sector

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ An excellent command of the English language, spoken and written

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ A keen interest in working on EU policy and initiatives

Highly Valued

๐Ÿ’ก A genuine interest in lifelong learning, education, and training

โœ๏ธ Good writing and analysis skills, with the ability to adapt your language to the target audience

๐Ÿ“ฑ Good digital skills and media literacy

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Experience with communication tools, such as WordPress or Wix, Mailchimp or Brevo, Basecamp, and social media

๐Ÿ’ถ Knowledge of EU funding programmes, especially Erasmus+

๐ŸŒ Knowledge of additional languages

Terms and Conditions

๐Ÿ“‹ Position: Policy Assistant, reporting to the Policy and Advocacy Manager

โณ Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension

๐Ÿ•’ Capacity: full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with home-working possible for 2 days per week

๐Ÿ“ Location: Rue de deux Eglises 14, 1000 Brussels, Belgium

๐Ÿ“„ Contract type: Contrat d'Immersion Professionnelle (CIP), subject to approval by the public authority, or an Erasmus+ scholarship if applicable

๐Ÿ’ถ Remuneration: โ‚ฌ1,056 per month (above 21 years of age) or โ‚ฌ865.90 per month (below 21) under the CIP; remuneration under Erasmus+ grants varies depending on the support received. LLLP also covers local transport costs in Brussels and offers an allowance for meal vouchers.
